How we select

Few businesses get in, and only after an in-depth review. We would rather keep a short list you can trust than a directory of everything.

What we look for

• A clear product or service that solves something specific.
• Verifiable public information: their own website, direct contact and consistent facts.
• Something distinctive that is useful to the person looking for it.

How we check

Every fact in a profile comes from the business's official website or from a source linked at the end of the profile. When two pages from the same business disagree, we leave that figure out until it is confirmed. We never invent prices, awards, testimonials or experiences, and we do not use star ratings.

Each profile shows when it was last checked. Opening hours appear only when the business publishes them.

Relationships with businesses

Some businesses in the selection have ties to the Recommend Panama team. Where that is the case, the profile says so.

Listings are not for sale

Being in the selection is free, and no one can pay to appear or to rank higher.
